PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital display system which can display a plurality of still pictures or a still picture and a moving picture without any disordering of a still picture by using one PC. SOLUTION: This digital display system 100 writes digital video data of one still picture to a video RAM 22 only once, so the contents that the video RAM 22 holds do not change and an image as a display of its contents therefore has no change, so that the image on a display 31 is never disordered. Further, one still picture is written to the display 31 only once, so one PC 10 can write another still picture to another video RAM 22b in a period wherein the writing is stopped and a moving picture can be displayed on the display 32 by being written to the video RAM 22b in the period wherein the still picture is not written.
