摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing pressurization according to the viscosity of liquid to be discharged for discharging minute droplets in an aimed direction. SOLUTION: The droplet-discharging method comprises a substrate 30 and a piezoelectric/electrostrictive element 41. A pressurizing chamber 30b and a discharge opening 30d are provided in the substrate. Then, when time from the last pressurization operation to the present one is longer than specific time, liquid in the pressurization chamber is pressurized for discharge with an application voltage to the piezoelectric/electrostrictive element as a voltage increase speed. Conversely, when time from the last pressurization operation to the present one is shorter than the specific time, the application voltage is increased at a second voltage increase speed that is smaller than the first voltage increase speed, and the liquid is pressurized at a relatively smaller pressurization speed for discharge, thus performing appropriate pressurization to liquid whose viscosity becomes higher with time and achieving appropriate discharge.
