PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a person mounting a child seat to make sure of the fastening state of a seat belt. SOLUTION: An occupant judgement device is provided with a belt tension switch 11 for detecting the tension of a seat belt 7, a load sensor 5 for detecting the load applied to a seat cushion 1a, and a CPU61 for conducting the occupant judgement of the seat 1 and the fastening state judgement of the seat belt 7 based on one or more detected results of a belt tension switch 11 or the load sensor 5. The device is further provided with an indicator 12 displaying the fastening state judgement result of the seat belt 7.
