PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for an auxiliary instrument that can immediately judge by a vehicle driver that a vehicle state reaches a warning value. SOLUTION: A control unit 3, which includes an A/D converter (input port) 171 enabling the input of a plurality of state signals corresponding to the vehicle state from a plurality of objects to be measured, determines measurement data from the state signals inputted via the A/D converter 171 to convert the measurement data to serial data and then transmit them. An instrument body (auxiliary instrument) 1 includes a single display part 7 housed in a case body and then a second control means 13 operating the display part 7 corresponding to the serial data in the case. The first control means 17 has a warning function judging that the measurement data reaches a value to be warned when at least one data in a plurality of the measurement data is a set value or larger compared with a prescribed value.
