PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pipe pile embedding method capable of easily embedding a steel pipe pile having a sufficient strength at a low cost and steel pipe piles used for the embedding method. SOLUTION: A steel pipe pile 1 comprises a pipe main body 2, bites 3, a spiral vane 4, an inner spiral vane 5, and rotation pushing plates 7 and 7. The pipe main body 2 is formed to a cylindrical shape with the tip and base end opened, and a screw vane 4 is attached to the tip edge of the pipe main body 2. Also, the inner spiral vane 5 having the same direction as that of the spiral of the spiral vane 4 is provided at the inner side of the tip edge of the pipe main body 2.
