PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive formaldehyde adsorbent interior material capable of effectively reducing the concentration of formaldehyde sublimed in air. SOLUTION: A base 1 made of a porous material with a specific surface area of 0.5 m<2> /g or more for physically adsorbing formaldehyde 2 is impregnated with a compound which reacts with formaldehyde 2 to decompose or adsorb it.
