An ultrasonograph such that reduction in micro−bubbles in a region of interest can be suppressed even if a necessary ultrasonic energy is applied and the micro−bubbles can efficiently be made to disappear even if the intensity of the ultrasonic wave is suppressed within the limit of safety. An ultrasonic probe transmits an ultrasonic pulse in which a fundamental wave and the second harmonic are superposed on each other. Examples of the ultrasonic pulse include a pules generated by selecting one of a maximum positive pressure enhanced waveform, a maximum negative pressure enhanced waveform, a sound pressure rise enhanced waveform, and a sound pressure fall enhanced waveform which are recorded in advance
