PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope that makes the projection of the all parts of the front projection height of a hood part as much as possible without discouraging observation. SOLUTION: The outer peripheral part 33 of a hood member 20 is projected by an optical axis 32 in the rough same direction that shifts to the shaft 19 of an insertion part in the endoscope with a hood part 23 provided with the optical axis 32 of an objective optical system unit arranged deviated from the shaft 19 of the insertion part of the endoscope.
