[Also in Division F2] In a pumping assembly comprising pumping equipment 40 arranged within a cylindrical metal housing 11 and supported via members 65, 66 by a downwardly-domed floor 30 of the housing, the housing is in turn supported by a number of metal angle bars 75 forming a supporting structure 15 which is weaker than the housing so that if the assembly is mishandled, e.g. dropped, the structure 15 will buckle and thereby avoid damage to the housing. The pumping equipment comprises a pair of centrifugal pumps 40 each having a respective inlet 43 and both communicating with a common discharge 80. The housing includes a drainage sump 35, and a roof (not shown) with a manhole therein.</p> |
