The staircase comprises individual stair elements (1) each having a horizontal plank (2) and a freely supporting step (4) fixed thereon. The off-set steps (4) of adjoining stair elements have the same pitch (7), the same tread width and riser width (10, 9) and the same step width (11) at the joint with the plank. The planks of rectangular cross section are connected together through connector members. The planks can be straight, L or U shaped. |
