Detector comprises a Fresnel lens used to focus the thermal infrared electromagnetic radiation emitted by warm bodies on the sensible surface of the pyroelectric detector, and a microcontroller that manages the keys (6,7,8) on a display bar. A graphical display (5), a buzzer and a vibration motor are used to indicate to the user the presence of a warm body in the field of vision of the instrument.
