PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional label printer employing a linerless label that the adhesive side adheres to the cutter at the time of cutting the label to cause jamming. SOLUTION: When a rotary cutter 6 is returned to a position where a label can be fed normally, the label adhering to the edge of the rotary cutter 6 is stripped therefrom by means of an adhesion preventive guide 5. At the time of subsequent label feed, adhesive side 2b of the label is separated from the edge of the rotary cutter 6 and jamming is prevented.
