PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body detector capable of automatically stopping the operation of a sensor in the case that an illuminance of an installation environment where the sensor is installed is inappropriate for image pickup and preventing an erroneous detection. SOLUTION: Data of an area outside a bathtub in a bathroom are defined as an object of decision, it is noticed that a material and a color, etc., of a floor surface of the area outside the bathtub influencing the illuminance of the entire bathroom and accuracy of illuminance judgment is improved. Also, by adopting an average value of an image gradation of the area outside the bathtub in the bathroom, even when a pattern or a shadow or the like is present at a part of the floor surface of the area outside the bathtub in the bathroom, influence on the illuminance judgment is reduced. Then, by providing a storage time adjusting means for adjusting storage time so as to fix the average value, accurate time for obtaining an appropriate image is measured and the propriety of continuing human body detection is surely judged. Also, since the operation of a controller is started or stopped by a sensor operation propriety judging means, in the case that the illuminance is insufficient, the operation of a human body detection sensor, that is the detection of movements, is not performed thereafter and continuance of erroneous human body detection and instable human body monitoring is prevented. |
