PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging facility capable of uniformly charging a housed object to a housing container almost without occurrence of damage and static electricity. SOLUTION: An article 9 is charged from above by a charging means 23 to the housing container D supported by a supporting means 31. The housing container D and the charging means 23 are so structured that they relatively move in a horizontal direction, and a charging position to the housing container D is continuously moved. Charge of the article 9 to the housing container D can be conducted with a high packing factor with a small mountain of a uniform height formed in the housing container D by relatively moving the housing container D and the charging means 28 in the horizontal direction while charging the article 9 from the charging means 23. Desired charge can be performed while it is not necessary to level the mountain, damage on the article hardly occurs, and friction between the articles 9 is reduced and the static electricity is hardly generated.
