HIGH SPECIFIC SURFACE AREA SLAKED LIME, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, AND ITS USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new high specific surface area slaked lime which has high reactivity, to provide a method for efficiently, effectively and economically obtaining the high specific surface area slaked lime, and to provide a method of using the high specific surface area slaked lime for the removal of acidic substance contained in combustion exhaust gas such as waste matter. SOLUTION: The high specific surface area slaked lime has a composition essentially consisting of calcium hydroxide, and containing an alkanolamine compound and an alkylene glycol compound, and having a specific surface area of >=20 m<2> /g. The production method uses the slaked lime. In the using method, the high specific surface area slaked lime is used for removing acidic substance contained in combustion exhaust gas such as waste matter.
