摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a polyester film which has good handleability, is excellent in curling resistance and hot drillability and, when printing is executed thereon, is excellent in the resolution of an image and the quality of print and which is suitable for a thermal stencil paper. SOLUTION: This biaxially oriented polyester film is made from a polyester composition containing 30-70 wt.% copolyester (A) whose acid component consists of 60-90 mol% terephthalic acid and 10-40 mol% 2,6- naphthalenedicarboxylic acid, and whose glycol component consists of 30-60 mol% 1,4-butanediol and 40-70 mol% ethylene glycol. It has a thickness of 0.5-5.0μm and contains 0.1-1.0 wt.% crosslinked polymer particles having a mean diameter of 0.5-2.0μm and a particle diameter distribution (r) of 1.5 or less.
