PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a multi-domain liquid crystal display device is provided to prevent damage of an alignment film, and remove remains of a photoresist. CONSTITUTION: A first substrate(300) and a second substrate are respectively divided into two areas. A film for an alignment film is formed of a high polymer layer(304), a thermal transfer layer(303) formed on the high polymer layer, a high pretilt aligning layer(302) formed on the heat transfer layer, and an adhesive layer(301) formed on the high pretilt aligning layer. The film for the alignment film is thermal-transferred to one of the first and the second substrates by an ultraviolet laser to form the alignment film. Liquid crystal is formed between the first and the second substrates. |
