PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system, with which the visit of a guest can be speedily reported to a target family, and comfort and convenience for the family can be improved. SOLUTION: In the intercom system composed of at least one doorphone handset 1, a plurality of intercom base units 2 for responding to a call from the doorphone handset 1 and intercom subordinate base units 3 connected to the intercom base units 2 for responses corresponding to transfer calls from the intercom base units 2, the doorphone handset 1 is provided with call buttons 11a and 11b for selecting one of a plurality of intercom base units 2 and the doorphone handset 1 performs calling to the intercom base unit selected by the call buttons 11a and 11b.
