Cosmetic compositions containing a copolymer of methacrylic acid, a dimethicone, a pearlescent agent and a cationic polymer and uses thereof

The use of a copolymer consisting essentially of methacrylic acid and a 1-4C alkyl acrylate, optionally crosslinked, in a cosmetic composition comprising a cationic or amphoteric polymer with a specific cationic charge. The use of a copolymer consisting essentially of methacrylic acid and a 1-4C alkyl acrylate, optionally crosslinked, in a cosmetic composition comprising a cationic or amphoteric polymer with cationic charge below 1 meq/g, one or more pearlizing and/or opacifying agents and a polydialkylsiloxane with trimethylsilyl terminal groups and particle size 2 microns or more. Independent claims are included for the composition itself and for a method of treating keratinic matter, such as the hair by applying the composition and optionally rinsing with water.
