PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the antitheft property of an antitheft device for securing a safe to a floor to prevent the safe from being carried away by thieves, without reducing ease of installation and movement. SOLUTION: A safe body 2 has casters 6 to provide space between the floor F and the safe body 2. The antitheft device 4 comprises an upper member 8 secured to the lower surface of the safe body 2, a lower member 10 secured to the floor F, bolts 11 connecting the upper and lower members 8 and 10 together, a cover 12 covering the upper and lower members 8 and 10 from their outsides as seen on a plan, and a cylinder lock 21 provided at the cover 12. The upper and lower members 8 and 10 are longitudinally non-movably fitted one into the other and connected to each other by the bolts 11 so that they cannot move horizontally relative to each other. The safe is locked, with the head of each bolt 11 concealed by the cover 12, so that the bolts 11 cannot be removed unless the cover 12 is removed by unlocking.
