PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent forming a scattering part of a coating material in the vicinity of the terminal part of an intermittent-coating layer in relation to a coating apparatus for intermittently forming the coating layer on a belt-like body. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus for intermittently forming the coating layer on the traveling belt-like member has a doctor blade for intermittently discharging the coating material and an opening composed of a shutter, and a buffering member is arranged in a region where the doctor blade surface is brought into contact with the shutter at least when the opening is closed. Scattering of the coating material is prevented by buffering the impact of the doctor blade with the shutter in the closing. |
