PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and a control method for the same, with which the image forming device can be used until the arrival of a serviceman when communication abnormality occurs between a card device and the image forming device when the card device is loaded into the image forming device and management by sections is performed. SOLUTION: In this image forming device, when communication abnormality occurs between the card device and the image forming device when the card device is loaded into the image forming device and the management by sections is performed, a caution presenting the occurrence of communication abnormality is displayed on an operating part and when authenticating the section, card section authentication for detecting contents stored on a card is changed to section authentication for inputting a section code and a section password. |
