PURPOSE: To provide a baggage storage facility capable of automatically and efficiently adjusting a distance that a transferring/placing means for the baggage is moved. CONSTITUTION: To a transferring/placing action part 81 moved to a baggage receiving part 32 of a rotation shelf 21 and a baggage support part 103 of a fixed shelf 101 to be acted on a cassette, a unit 131 provided with a photoelectric switch 132 for detecting distal end positions 34A, 105A of these respective parts are mounted. The transferring/placing action part 81 is projected to the respective parts 32, 103 from a movement starting position and the movement distance until the photoelectric switch 132 operates is measured. The movement distance that the transferring/placing part 81 acts on the cassettes of the respective parts 32, 103 is thereby leaned. According to this constitution, even if a positioning pin of the cassette is slightly deviated at the respective parts 32, 103, the transferring/placing of the cassette can be carried out with no damage. It is not required that a person for adjustment adjusts the movement distance before an operation is started as conventional and the adjustment can be automatically and efficiently carried out.
