PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove the products of an electric discharge sticking to the surface of an image carrying member and to obstruct the formation of an abnormal image occurring in the products of the electric discharge with an image forming device which forms an image by electrostatically charging the image carrying member, exposing the image carrying member after the electrostatic charge to form an electrostatic latent image, visualizing this electrostatic image as a toner image and transferring this toner image to a transfer material. SOLUTION: Product removing particles PA containing zeolite are carried and supported by magnetic force on a particle carrying member 25 and these product removing particles PA are touched onto the surface of the image carrying member 1, by which the zeolite is brought into contact with the surface of the image carrying member and the products of the electrostatic discharge sticking to the surface of the image carrying member are removed. |
