A split brush for an electric commutator or slip ring comprises two or more currentcollecting components 1, 2 capable of independent movement and mechanically linked together by attaching an end of each component to the end of an arm of a single or multiple arch elastic member 3 which is produced without stressing in any way. The member 3 may be a natural or synthetic rubber or plastic and is attached by an adhesive. The joining ends may be V-shaped to an included angle of between 90 and 180 degrees, and the brush may comprise four components, Fig. 8a. |
