PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sensitometric performance and latent image retentivity of a photographic element. SOLUTION: The radiation sensitive emulsion comprises silver halide grains (a) containing >50 mol% chloride on the basis of silver, (b) having 100} crystal faces giving >50% of their surface areas, (c) occupying <=99% of total silver and having a core part containing (i) a first dopant comprising an iridium coordination complex containing at least one thiazole ligand and (ii) a second dopant comprising an iridium coordination complex containing at least one substituted thiazole ligand.
