摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibrator for an energy confinement-type piezoelectric vibrating gyro in which the distribution of vibrational energy is symmetric with reference to a vibration direction and in which a confinement state is satisfactory. SOLUTION: In the vibrator for the energy confinement-type piezoelectric vibrating gyro, a first electrode to a third electrode are formed on the surface of a piezoelectric plate, the first electrode is arranged in the position of the vertical angle of a nearly isosceles triangle, and the second to third electrodes are arranged symmetrically in positions of the base angles of the nearly isosceles triangle. The interval size and the shape of the electrodes are adjusted, and the distribution of the vibrational energy is adjusted. The vibrator for the energy confinement-type piezoelectric vibrating gyro is formed in such a way that a piezoelectric ceramic plate is used as the piezoelectric plate and that parts near regions in which the first to third electrodes are formed are polarized in the thickness direction.
