摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a light leakage appearing in a frame-shaped form and optical density non-uniformity that occur on a display screen when an optical compensation sheet provided with an optical anisotropic layer formed from a liquid crystal compound on a cellulose acetate film is used in a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The optical compensation sheet provided with an optical anisotropic layer formed on a cellulose acetate film is utilized in a liquid crystal display device, wherein the cellulose acetate film has a thermal expansion coefficient in at least one direction of the machine direction(MD) and the transverse direction(TD) in the range of 1.0&times;10<-5> to 4.5&times;10<-5> / deg.C, a variation from the mean value in thermal expansion coefficient measured along each of the MD and the TD in the range of 0-10% and a variation from the mean value in the Re retardation value and the Rth retardation value in the range of 0-7%.
