PURPOSE: A method for controlling BLDC motor starting time is provided to prevent failure of the motor caused due to the rise of the motor starting current, while lengthening useful life of the motor and improving operating reliability. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling BLDC motor starting time, comprises a first step of turning off a BLDC motor and measuring the time of turning off the motor, when the BLDC motor starting current has reached a limit current level by gradually increasing voltage of the BLDC motor to a predetermined level; and a second step of pausing operation of the BLDC motor for a predetermined time period, re-starting the BLDC motor and driving the BLDC motor for a predetermined time period longer than the time measured in the first step.
