OPTICAL FIBER INSERTING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INSERTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of the depth of the insertion of a core though the device is inexpensive and compact. SOLUTION: An optical fiber cord 2 is so fixed on a cord supporting means 39 that the core 3 and the fiber 4 are exposed upward. A adsorptive member 55 which pneumatically adsorbs a ferrule 10 is dropped and the fiber 4 is inserted into a fiber hole from the core hole of the ferrule 10. The ferrule 10 is detached from the adsorptive member 55 and the core is inserted into the core hole by pressurizing with air supplied into an air path 57 of the adsorptive member 55.
