ALUMINUM CASTING METHOD

An aluminum casting method which comprises a step of applying a releasing agent containing magnesium on the surface of a mold, a step of introducing a nitrogen gas, to thereby react the nitrogen gas with the magnesium present on the surface of the releasing agent to form magnesium nitride. Since the nitrogen gas reacts only with the magnesium being exposed on the surface of the releasing agent, the length of the time required for forming magnesium nitride and the amount of a nitrogen gas consumed can be reduced.
