<p>Frail furrier's skins are reinforced by a fabric, placed slantwise to the direction of the fur, and secured to the skin by heat sealing. Before applying the cotton fabric any bare places are cut out and tears repaired. Healthy skins can be treated in the same way and the skin treated in normal way. The furs preserve their pliability after the treatment and are readily adaptable to all the operations necessary for making them into garments.</p> |
