PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OFDM mode/guard length detector that can detect an OFDM mode and the guard length of a received signal in a small scale circuit configuration in a short time. SOLUTION: A process of sequentially setting 'mode 1, G(guard length)=1/32', 'mode 2, G=1/32', and 'mode 3, G=1/32' is included to a peak position and peak detection circuit 1 to detect an OFDM mode of a received signal. Then a process of sequentially setting 'a detected mode, G=1/16', 'a detected mode, G=1/8', and 'a detected mode, G=1/4' is included to the peak position and peak detection circuit 1 to detect a guard length of the received signal.
