PURPOSE: An optical transmitting/receiving module is provided to minimize an arrange error between an optical waveguide and a light source/optical detector by fixing a ferrule in which an optical waveguide is inserted to an adapter. CONSTITUTION: An electrode pad(11) is formed on a substrate(10). A driver/receiver(20) and a light source/detector(30) are formed on the substrate(10) in an array form. The driver/receiver(20) is connected to the electrode pad(11) by a bonding wire(22). The light source/detector(20) is connected to the driver/receiver(20) by the boding wire. An adapter(60) is coupled with a connector(100). A ferrule(50) is coupled with the adapter(60) and fixes an optical waveguide(40). The optical waveguide(40) includes a lower clad layer, an upper clad layer, and a core. The core is formed between the lower clad layer and the upper clad layer. The core has a taper portion. A reflecting surface(44) is formed at an end of the core and has a curved surface having a predetermined reflectance ratio. |
