PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin good in feeding characteristics when feeding the carbon fiber to the hopper of an extruder, generating no decomposed gas when heated and kneaded and capable of presenting good products without deteriorating the molecular weight. SOLUTION: This method for producing the carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin 22 is to feed the cut carbon fiber 4 and the thermoplastic resin 12 in the hopper 18 of the extruder 16, heat and knead the carbon fiber 4 and the thermoplastic resin 16 in the extruder 16 and extrude. The cut carbon fiber 4 and the thermoplastic resin 12 are separately and continuously fed to the hopper 18 of the extruder 16 at the carbon fiber carrying outlet 6 of a carbon fiber feeder 2 installed above the hopper 18 to produce the carbon fiber- reinforced thermoplastic resin. |
