PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance ink jet head in which a desired image can be formed by shooting an ink drop accurately to a recording sheet. SOLUTION: On a head substrate 1 where a large number of heating resistors 3 and a large number of individual feeder lines 4 are fixed onto the upper surface of a base plate 2, nozzle members are arranged to form a specified gap between and recording operation is performed while circulating ink filling that gap. In such an ink jet head, the large number of individual feeder lines 4 are sectioned into a plurality of groups of N individual feeder lines 4 continuous in the main scanning direction and the individual feeder lines 4 of each group are arranged radially at a pitch higher on one end side as compared with the other end side. Ink supply holes 1a for introducing ink between the head substrate 1 and the nozzle member are made between adjacent groups and at the opposite ends in the main scanning direction. |
