PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor in which printing processing time is shortened by eliminating transformation and inverse transformation of pixel data. SOLUTION: This image processor that can prepare a print with a difference is added between the density of a character image and the density of a portion of an area in preparing the print with the character image formed in the portion of an area in a main image, is provided with multiplexers m1 to m8 to which 8-bit pixel data constituting the main image are inputted and which selects a state for making the image data pass through as they are and a state for performing 1-bit shift of the image data and making the image data pass through on the basis of a selection command signal s1, a controller 205 for transmitting a selection command signal s2 to the multiplexers m1 to m8 when the image data constituting the portion of area of the main image data are inputted to the multiplexers m1 to m8, and multiplexers M1 to M8 for combining the main image data that pass through the multiplexers m1 to m8 with character image data. |
