The invention concerns a reactive hollow blade using wind pressure inside the hollow blades of a wind machine to drive it in rotation by reaction additionally to the normal action of wind on the outside of the blades. To achieve this, the hollow blades have one or several openings (4) on their front surface (10) for wind intake and one or several nozzle-shaped exhaust holes (5) located in the trailing edge (3) of the blades. The total surface of the exhaust holes (5) being less than the total surface of wind intake openings (4), a pressure is generated inside the blades which escapes through the nozzles (5) causing a reaction which drives the blades in the opposite direction (6) like that caused by the action of the wind on the outer surface (10) of the blades. The nozzles are located as near as possible to the end of the blades to optimise the work torque generated by the reaction. |
