PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral conveyor capable of being easily manufactured and having a receiving plate of a conveyor belt capable of performing smooth conveying. SOLUTION: In this spiral conveyor 1 having a spiral conveying passage, and supporting a conveying side of the conveyor belt 2 by the receiving plate 5 mounted between supporting members 7a, 8b mounted along both sides of the conveying passage, the receiving plate 5 is formed by arranging a plurality of strip-like divided thin pieces 6 in a state of being abutted on the approximately whole rear face at the conveying side, of the conveyor belt, and each divided thin piece 6 is closely abutted on the supporting members 7a, 7b at its both ends in a state of being hung over the supporting members 7a, 7b.
