PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine element selection support system which enables a customer easily input and amend information necessary for selecting machine element and enables the customer get the selection result of the most suitable machine element responding to his/her demand in a short time. SOLUTION: This system includes database equipment 1 and a selection support server 2, and the selection support server 2 is connected to communication network 3; a customer who is going to select a machine element accesses the selection support server 2 using a user terminal 4, the selection support server 2 receives machine element selection information including specifications of the machine element which must be selected, the use condition information, the condition of purchase and information indicating the output form of information about the selection candidate from the customer terminal 4, extracts selection candidates based on the specifications of the machine element, the use condition and the information in a specifications database 11, and outputs to the customer terminal 4 the information concerning the selection candidate satisfying the received condition of purchase among the extracted selection candidates according to the received output form. |
