The chain drive mechanism has link components (2a) in pin form which are continuously connected by one end to the other. The link components each have a connecting section (4) at one end with an axial hole in the front and rear portions, while the other end has a connecting section with a single hole corresponding to the aforesaid axial holes, with both ends axially connected by an axial pin (6). A spindle holder is provided in the center of the chain wheel (3). Drive slot sections of semi-circular cross section are provided on the outer section of the chain wheel to correspond to the chain link components.
