PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and a fixing method for an operating panel, having an operating section of electronic equipment, a frame of the operation panel, and a printed board fixed in a frame. SOLUTION: An operation panel 1 has an operating section of electronic equipment, a frame 2 for the operation panel with, protrusion 2a for holding a printed board, a boss 2b for fixation, and an auxiliary protrusion 2c for fixing the printed board, and a printed board 3 with a switch 3a, which protrudes to a surface of the operating panel fixed in the frame. After the printed board 3 is inserted between the protrusion 2a and the auxiliary protrusion 2c, a virtual rotation axis formed by the protrusion 2a and the fixing auxiliary protrusion 2c is used, the rotation axis is tilted, so as to press the boss 2b for fixing the printed board 3, and the rotation axis is fixed by screws 4. Hence, assembling efficiency is improved.
