PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system capable of selecting whether it is operated as a single computer system, is operated as one computer system with the other computation node or is added to the other computer systems during operation when starting computation nodes in the computer system consisting of a plurality of nodes, to provide the computer system to which the computation nodes can be added without stopping the operation of the system, and to provide the computation nodes therefor. SOLUTION: Starting forms for operating as the single computer system, for operating as one computer system with the other computation node or for being added to the other computer systems during operation are held. When starting the computation nodes, by referring to the forms and communicating with the computer system during operation, the memory address and the I/O bus number of the calculation nodes are assigned to be unique by the computer system.
