PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for relaxing effects of solar noise on a wireless communication system. SOLUTION: The performance of the wireless communication system is improved by monitoring noise resulting from noise of an interference point source and executing a noise mitigating control adaptive to the noise source. In more detail, the method comprises monitoring noise attributable to a remote interference source such as the sun or tropospheric during or equivalent that may affect one or more components of the wireless communication system. The method then comprises initiating one or more operations, as a function of the monitored noise, to reduce or eliminate the effects of the noise attributable to a distant interference source at one or more of the components of the wireless communication system that are determined to be affected by such a noise. |
