An exhaust emission purifier for removing contaminates and odor components from exhaust from cooking or the like; an exhaust emission purification cabinet and cooking utensil equipped with this exhaust emission purifier; and a cooking system equipped with this cooking appliance. The exhaust emission purifier comprises a pre−treating section (117) for capturing contaminates in the exhaust, and an optical processing section (119) disposed downstream of the pre−treating section and having a photocatalyst filter (62). The exhaust emission purifier is installed in an exhaust duct or the like extending from a kitchen. The pre−treating section (117) is preferably provided with a dust collector (50) for capturing smoke particles in the exhaust and/or a deoiling filter (20) for capturing oil and fat components in the exhaust. The exhaust emission purification cabinet is constructed by receiving the exhaust emission purifier in a cabinet internally formed with an exhaust passageway. The cooking appliance is constructed by receiving the exhaust emission purifier in a cooking appliance main body which has a cooking section and which is internally formed with an exhaust passageway. The cooking system comprises a plurality of the above−mentioned cooking appliances and a main duct connected to the exhaust port of each cooking appliance.
