The spreader includes limiting devices with guide elements to produce a spreading pattern. The limiting device (7) is fixed on the frame of the spreader to swivel about an upright swivel axis which seen in the travel direction is on the front side of the limiting device. The limiting device can be adjusted in different spacings and angular positions to the centrifugal disc (4) through an adjusting device (13, 14). An electronic control or regulating device can be used to store the connections between the dosing member setting which determines the discharge amount and the limiting device which determines the width of the spreading limit.
