The platform (1) has a cover of esp. timber with parallel trough-shaped grooved rails set into it. The grooves are defined on both sides by a hollow profile (4,5), which is open in a downward direction. The undersides of support flanges (8,9) and rail webs (6) are located mainly in one plane. The underside of each groove is covered by a cover plate (14) extending from one flange to the next. The grooved rail is folded from sheet metal plate.
