<p>A recognition system that uses biometric information from a user, 31, to update the stored registration data, 38. If the optimised data has a higher priority than the registration data, it is stored as the new registration data. A plurality of data is stored, both high and low confidence level data, to make the recognition process more accurate. The renewal process can be triggered by a high failure rate, or be continuously sampling the user input and updating the registration data. The main use is for a visual recognition system, and the plurality of data stored could be images of the user wearing a hat, glasses or any other feature that the user may wear occasionally, so that when the user is to be verified, there is less chance of a false rejection.</p> |
