PURPOSE: A safety footboard of an electric rail car is provided to improve safety, and to prevent accidents by putting the safety board on opening before boarding on, fixing in starting closing the door and folding in closing at last 20-30%. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder(7') is installed in the lower part of a sliding door, and a safety footboard(1) is combined with a driving gear of the cylinder. A rod roller is installed in the lower part of the door. The rod roller is separated from a screw rotating sill(5) in opening the door, and the safety footboard is spread. The safety footboard is fixed in closing first, and folded by inserting the rod roller to the cylinder in finishing closing. The screw rotating sill is restricted by a roller bearing, and the safety footboard is folded and unfolded by a spring. Safety is improved, and accidents are prevented.
