LASER MARKING METHOD AND COATING MATERIAL USED FOR ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser marking method which enables laser marking satisfactorily by using coating material of an arbitrary color tone. SOLUTION: In this method for performing laser marking by irradiating the coated coating material with a laser beam and burning and removing the coating material of the irradiated part, metallic powders mixed to the coating material 21 as a component absorbing the laser beam and the coating material 21 is burned by the generation of heat of the metallic powders. By using the metallic powders instead of the black pigment and dye mixed in the conventional coating material as a component for absorbing the raser beam the laser marking is enables without almost changing the original color.
